At CSI, our dedicated patient advocates collaborate closely with patients and their healthcare providers to address and overcome these difficulties. Everyone at CSI Pharmacy, all the way up to our CEO James Sheets, advocates for our patients to ensure they receive the best possible care.
At CSI, our Patient Advocacy Team is dedicated to providing comprehensive support to patients and their families. We specialize in offering diagnosis specific information and education, as well as sharing treatment options and new therapies to ensure each patient receives the best possible care.
Our commitment extends beyond information and treatment. We actively engage with rare disease support communities by attending national conferences and regional events, allowing us to meet patients where they are and understand their unique needs.
In addition, we identify and share valuable resources within local communities, including free transportation, meal services, and light housekeeping assistance. Our goal is to alleviate some of the daily challenges patients face, so they can focus on their health and well-being.
Our team includes nurse advocates who can answer clinical questions, and collectively, our advocacy team has more than 50 years of experience working with patients with rare chronic diseases.
A patient advocate is a professional who supports and guides patients, helping them understand their medical conditions, treatment options, and healthcare rights. Patient advocates assist with explaining diagnoses, treatments, and providing emotional support during challenging times. Our advocates connect patients with community resources, support groups, and financial assistance programs. Overall, patient advocates aim to empower patients to make informed decisions about their health and ensure they receive the best possible care. As a patient of CSI Pharmacy, you will have your own patient advocate. This is also the person you can lean on when you just don’t know where else to go.
At CSI Pharmacy, providing ongoing therapies in the comfort and convenience of your home is just the start of our mission. By working closely with patients and families, we develop long-lasting relationships that go beyond the traditional provider-patient dynamic; we become family. This is why we refer to the groups we serve as “patient communities.”
We are dedicated to supporting and promoting the work of diagnoses specific patient support groups throughout the country. Our nurses, pharmacists, and patient advocates volunteer to speak at patient support groups and national conferences, educating patients and caregivers on topics such as individualizing therapies to meet unique needs and infusing specialty therapies in the home.
